Scene fashion has always borrowed from wherever it can reach: thrift racks, costume shops, hardware stores and the back of a sibling’s wardrobe. The look right now is louder than ever, and most of it costs less than a concert ticket.
Chrome and vinyl are everywhere, usually paired with something soft and handmade so the whole outfit does not look like it came from one shop. Platform boots remain non-negotiable, mostly because they make it possible to see the stage.
Dressed for the Pit
The real skill is in the edit. Anyone can wear everything at once. The best outfits we saw had one idea, pushed as far as it would go, and nothing that fought with it.

- Reflective bags for the walk home
If you are going to be seen, be seen from the back of the room.
None of this is new, of course. Every generation rediscovers the idea that getting dressed can be a performance. The difference is that now the audience is on the other side of a phone.
